Warri – Finland Collaboration
All across the world, the need and priority placed on human capital development cannot be over emphasized. For some countries, for example Finland, investment in the health, wellbeing and the education sector transformed a poor agrarian country to a leading knowledge economy within a century.
The need for communities especially the custodian of culture and identity of the people to intervene in how society transforms through education development, grooming citizens,
Students and teachers as problem solvers and researchers cannot be overestimated.
Leveraging collaboration with Finland and other Nordic countries that are in the forefront of promoting health, wellbeing, educational lifelong learning, innovation and driving sustainable societies will be beneficial to the dream of transforming Warri Kingdom into a model of knowledge economy worthy of emulation.
Benchmarked on the astounding works with both private and governmental agencies at the Lagos State Education Summit organized in August 2022, themed- Creating a suitable fit-for-purpose education, Erudiohub Academy contributed her quota on the Technical Framework of the program and derived great pleasure interacting and making acquaintance with the Finland delegates including Finland Ambassador- Leena Pylvanainen, Finnish Ambassador for Education- Ambassador Marjaana Sall, Business Advisor, Investments and Global Operations, Tampere- Sami Puttonen amongst other distinguished guests.
A distinguished Roundtable discussion between the Finland Ambassador to Nigeria, the Royal Warri Kingdom and carefully selected associates was organized that prompted an intensive brainstorming session, Erudiohub Academy was privileged to moderate the bespoke conversation. Some light shed at the insightful session produced thought-provoking conversation on the interest of Nigeria Nigeria looking forward to ranking high in the comity of Nations albeit driving towards knowledge based and skilled economy, the need for effective strategy matched with robust collaboration between communities and responsible private sector led implementation in deepening communal development, learning, research, global interaction, knowledge exchange and a holistic model of societal development is very crucial.
The Roundtable discussion also presented a deliberate conversation on the importance of partnerships and collaborations with fast-rising countries including the adoption of the Finland curriculum development as a benchmark to craft cutting-edge policy framework and devise modern and sustainable educational construct to address the impending challenges in the Nigerian education sector. The gathering also provides support for the Warri Kingdom delegates by leveraging on the Finland education system, through a confidential tour around Finland, Sweden and other Sister City in May, 2023.
